Book Review – The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

Rating: 5/5

Quick Review: I started this book with few expectations. I purchased it a while back and it’s been sitting on my book shelf for months. Despite my lack of eagerness to pick the book up, I found it hard to put down once I had started. For a so called “self-help” book it took a very interesting approach. Its tag line is “a counterintuitive approach to living a good life” and that’s exactly what it was. The basic premise of the book was that everything you’ve learned about success and happiness from society is largely wrong. Many of the points were blunt but well supported and delivered, largely cutting out any need to interpret the authors “true meaning.” Without spoiling any of the text, all I can really say is that I really enjoyed reading it and the authors voice was refreshing and real. I would defiantly recommend to anyone looking for an easy and interesting read, who is open to having their way of living challenged.
