Quick Review: This summer I decided I was going to make an effort to improve my communication skills. As part of my efforts, I wanted to read a little bit about what makes someone a great communicator. When I stumbled upon this book I thought it would be perfect, TED Talks are some of the best examples of public speaking I’d ever encountered. The book was not what I expected but was beneficial none the less. It took a quick hitting and easy to understand approach. Akasha Karia would briefly mention a TED Talk and then explain what made it great and how the readers can incorporate similar practices into their stories. It took less than 45 minutes to read and cost less than $5 used so I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to improve their public speaking, communication, or storytelling skills.
