Quick Review: This book had been on my radar for quite some time but after a compelling recommendation by a close friend I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase it. I’m glad I did. The book was fantastic and forced me to think a little bit more than most of the novels I usually read. The book is self labeled as a low culture manifesto and that’s probably a pretty accurate description. There was nothing particularly life changing mentioned in the book but Chuck Klosterman examined everyday objects and events in a way that had never even crossed my mind. Klosterman asks incredibly interesting questions of things that many people wouldn’t think twice about. He analyzes society through music, movies, and basketball – and his analyzations actually make sense. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone regardless of interests or profession. I’m excited to read some of his other works.
