Quick Review: I had heard mixed reviews on Malcom Gladwell books and finally decided to pick one up in the Denver Airport on my way back to school a couple weeks ago. Many of my peers and teachers really enjoyed his way of thinking, however, other friends and family members found his writing a little dry and lacking of true insight. The book itself was a fairly quick read and I was able to knock it out in a couple big chunks. Personally, I really enjoyed the read, it reminded me of a more academic Freakonomics another book I liked a lot. The novel offered some good insights but there was nothing life changing. Gladwell utilizes a handful of historic stories to debunk the theory that outliers achieve that status randomly or by chance. Personally, I like learning through storytelling and found it an effective way for Gladwell to convey his points. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is a semi-frequent reader.
